Endoscopic post-operative recurrence after ileocolonic resection.
Endoscopic recurrence in the neoterminal ileum after ileocolonic resection, conventionally assessed six to twelve months postoperatively, to guide prophylaxis and monitoring.
The calculator collects 1 item:
Any item left blank stops the score being calculated — an incomplete form never reports as remission.
| i0 - i1 | No recurrence |
| i2a | Intermediate |
| i2b - i4 | Recurrence |
Bands as implemented in IBD Care. A band is a description of the score, not an instruction.
Applies only after ileocolonic resection with anastomosis. The i2 category is the contested one — the modified score splits it into i2a (anastomotic lesions only) and i2b (ileal lesions), and the prognostic meaning of i2a remains debated. Findings confined to the anastomosis may reflect ischaemia or suture effects rather than recurrent Crohn's disease.
